Academy Sports + Outdoors

I joined Academy Sports + Outdoors' in-house insert team in 2011 as a Layout Artist. Over the past 14 years, I have been at the forefront of the evolving Academy creative team responsible for producing modern and attractive advertisements for Academy customers.

In 2018, Academy outsourced several areas of the marketing department, including production teams to Quad Graphics. This allowed them to utilize Quads immense resources in production and technology, sparking many process and software improvements.

Previously the lead designer for the print circular, my role has evolved over recent years. Due to Academy's pivot towards more digital advertising in 2021, I quickly became proficient in Adobe XD, and joined the E-mail team. After some personnel downsizing, I am now the sole designer responsible for initiating and organizing roughly 50 emails a month. In addition, I am assigned a wide variety of side projects to support Academy's marketing team.
